What is experimental living spaces?

After viewing several critique session, I wonder whether would the majority actually realise they were setting ahead on a very wrong path. Many indeed got the whole term of Experimental living spaces wrong. So what is the meaning of it, and what actually is experimental?
Experimental living is about living experimentally, for its own sake, not for any reason or purpose or any particular style that an architect might have. Experimental living is an end in itself and therefore does not follow pre-conceived ideas, but is open always to experience.
Experimental architecture is then experience more then form. As argued by Sundip,'Do you think you are actually the first to conceive this brand new idea(form) of yours? Are you sure there is no one out there have the same language as yours?

I do agree with him on this point. As we take one step back, experience through spaces are more easily kept and powerful in our minds. Its not the Phenomenal Body that I'm talking about, but its all about the spaces, the 9-grid Primer and what or how we make use of the spaces. We miss our own studio very much isn't it? Is it because its' cosy? Is it because its' nice? Or nice to sleep in for that matter?

No. Its all about the experience. A sense of belonging to a space, a small yet functional community that we set for ourselves. This kind or memories will be with us for a long time I believe.

Ask yourself, would you rather your end user to come back to your structure because of its' looks? Or the experience? Which is more powerful?

After observing in Diploma in Architecture for more than a year, I've come to conclude that the requirements for Diploma in Architecture should change for sure and for the better...
They should reconsider and take out Eng, Math and Science or Art/D&T as the requirement subjects...
And they should revise and put the following 3 main requirements for the requirements for Diploma in Architecture...

Hahaha... You know why I came late for the LC lesson today, ling and selly? Well... I know it would be so so boring. So, me being late actually save me from 45 super boring minutes. aha...

And when I entered the classroom, I bet she didn't even notice I came in... haha. She must have thought "How did he get here without me knowing... Oh, must be my glasses again!... Oh well, he could have been sitting there all along from the start I guess...," when she turned and saw me sitting at my place. lol... And yes, I had my attendance taken. I simply asked her, "Tcher, have you taken my attendance?" Then, she said "Oh, here... Tick it yourself," pushing the attendance sheet into my hands... ahaha.

Anyway, the 1st thing she taught after I got into the class was 'How to search smth in search engine such as Google'. Wow! smth new ah.... Are we being bad or what? Aha...
Ok ok... Enough abt her liao. Save some for next week...

Yoz! I finally got my web up and running. And I have my tagboard fix up. Save for the links to external third party websites and the countdown timer(future date 2005). I'm still figuring how to catch IP and displayed it. So it seems like I will still be refining my page till the end of this week. Guess what guys... I was engross in doing (or rather editing) the community blog for my GESS friends and for you guys at DARCH-0102 '0304. I was totally occupied and so engrossed, I slept only at 3am last night... I meant this morning. Well, I am somewhat satisfied with the current design and the responses from you guys. I hope it's gonna be fun and useful...

And Aaron was also engross with doing his html codes for his blog the past two days. I guess, he is more engross in it than me, 'cos he even said that he dreamt of html last night... lolx. I can imagine man...; seeing the html codes instead of usual colours... haha. Well, I must say, Aaron know html quite well. Just visit his blog and see for yourselves. It may look plain though, 'cos he has just started. But, quality is in it... Maybe not professionalism... hehz... Anyway, good job man. Hope you'll be useful in helping out in this blog in future...
